Pictures of the nursery are coming soon!

Easter, Texas Style

This year we flew to Texas to spend time with my sister Kristen and her cute family.  We had plenty of sunshine, yummy food, and lots of laughs.

On the way there, I flew with MiShelle and her family.   I was a single parent for the day because DR had to take a later flight.  I was stressed about flying without DR because I was 34 weeks pregnant at the time and Lucy was supposed to ride on my lap.  Well you can imagine the chaos.  Lucy ran up and down the isles a thousand times.  When she would get up to the first class seats I would have to go get her.  She spilled drinks on passengers that sat beside us and played peek a boo with those behind.  It was a long 2 1/2 hours, but we made it!

Ellie (who is in 3rd grade) recently competed against 5th graders in her Spelling Bee and took 3rd place!  So, the night we arrived, we decided to have a Spelling Bee between Kevin and Ellie.  She smoked him.

The next day we hit Sea World.  Lucy loved the shows and said "bird" and "fish"  a hundred times.  It was so hot and humid that I had my first experience with swollen legs and feet.  It was awful!   The only cure was $6 dollar dippin' dots.

Still happy after a long day at Sea World!

The next day we went to the drive through safari zoo where the kids could feed the animals right out the car window.  They were in heaven!

Finn was taking cover from the Ostriches.

While Jesse made a valiant attempt, he couldn't quite get the ostrich to eat from his mouth.

The Easter Bunny found Lucy!

My birthday happened to land on Easter this year.  We had awesome ice cream cake and DR gave me perfume.  "26" Yikes!

It wouldn't be Easter without the annual egg hunt.

Feeding the ducks at the park.

A big thanks to Kristen and Andrew for being the greatest hosts ever!  We had late night and early morning hot tub parties, fresh fruit smoothies,  and comfy beds to sleep in.  Love you guys!

The word is out

I guess the word has been out for a while but, baby # 2 is in the oven and I'm officially 20 weeks today!  Over the Holiday break DR and I found out what the sex of the baby was.  DR is extremely proud to say that it's a BOY!  Coming May 15, 2012.

U.G.L.Y. You ain't got no alibi, you UGLY!

For DR's company party this year we thought we would spice things up a bit with an ugly sweater contest.  The winner got $100!  DR was one vote away from taking home the cash.  I knew I should have voted for him!  It's all my fault.

My super classy father-in-law.  What a sport.

O Christmas Tree

Oh how I love the holidays!  I had fun experimenting with a new tree theme this year.  I thought it was a little more masculine for DR.  One of his hunting buddies came over the other day and was impressed with the pheasant and peacock feathers.....until I told them they were fake.  Then he was disappointed.  He said it would have been way sweeter if they were real.
