I decided it was time to replace Lucy's changing table. I haven't used it for a while and thought I would get more use out of a dresser. I got this dresser for FREE from one of my dad's rental properties. Here is the before........

Birthday and a Half

On Friday I turned the big TWO-FIVE! I'm officially a quarter of a century old. Then on Saturday, it was Lucy's half birthday (6 months old ). Kind of a mile marker too right? For my birthday, my family had a BBQ with all my all time favorite marinaded chicken. DR took the following day off work and stayed home with Lucy while I went shopping in Salt Lake. Yahoo! Every girls dream right? Best present ever. I told him he can do that for me every year with no complaints.

My good friend Rashael had her baby on my birthday! Baby Evalynn is so adorable.

We have recently started feeding her rice cereal. It is a disaster but she seems to like it.

We had a few really warm days last week, so we decided to do some walking. It's been so nice to get out of the house. Man, that was a long winter!

A few weeks ago, MiShelle and I and the kids went to see Grandma Curly and Grandpa Don in Price. We went to a museum, did some shopping and went out for ice cream.

LuLu is 5 Mo.

Those massive cheeks are very deceiving....she only weighs 13 lbs! I'm in love with this girl!


I'm still not sure what to do about this....

Joy

DR's grandma Joy passed away last week. It was an exhausting weekend filled with company, tears, laughter and planning. The funeral service was uplifting and left us with everlasting memories of sweet grandma Joy. She will be greatly missed.

DR and I sold our dream car today. (tear) We decided that it wasn't very practical to lift a car seat in our jacked up Jeep all winter. Plus it was a pretty bumpy ride for Lucy. Sometimes I was worried I was rattling her tiny brain! DR promised me I could have another one someday when our kids are grown up. I am holding him to it!

What Am I Going To Do About This??

So, Lucy's been sucking her thumb for the past month. I try to force the binky but she doesn't like it. I swaddle her really tight when she naps but somehow she wiggles her hands out of the blanket. I must admit, I think it's cute right now but it won't be cute when she's 1 year old. She got it from D.R. He sucked his thumb 'til the 7th grade. I'm not kidding. He had to have an appliance put in his mouth so he couldn't get any suction. He said the first night he had that thing in his mouth he cried himself to sleep.
